Please Make this simple change!
Can you make it to where you can unbind a button, I'm talking about the R3 melee button. I don't need or want melee in a game that my 57 opponents all carry big guns. There is no way to get around it...

Are you on console - roller?
I also have a heavy thump and found myself back in the day punching while trying to track an opponent. I switched melee to the circle button (PS) and have crouch on the right thump stick (R3).
The odd time it still happens but I crouch instead of punching... which actually helps most of the time, as it doesn't interrupt my firing. I have practiced lightening the grip of my right hand. It took awhile, but eventually I started doing it without having to concentrate too hard on it.

I actually have found away around it, but it's a little extreme. I actually just physically remove the button, but have to play on standard controller, I had a nicer controller with hall effects joysticks but when I tried to remove button the joysticks are messed up. This could easily be avoided with just a simple option.
