Potential Rampart Buffs (Suggestions)
Just a list of potential rampart buffs that have crossed my mind or been discussed around. This is not a suggestion that he receives ALL these buffs but that some of them COULD be good for his build and wanted to list them where dev team could potentially
- rampart's passive affects all machine gun type weaponry to some extent, with LMG's receiving the most benefit
- ramparts wall is built in two parts. when activated the first part of her wall begins setting up, and once finished is a solid destructible object (not one shot until its fully finished). Then the second part attempts to finish setting up for the full effect. Basically the wall can only be one shot during its setup part, and the shield can be one shot during its setup part. This would mean rampart can still place cover, even if not amped cover, in combat situations. That is unless the enemy shoots the first part of the wall while its setting up to prevent that. Having a tactical completely rendered inert unless you "catch the enemy off guard" or "get there ahead of time" regardless of original design intent, massively hurts the character.
- 360 turret swivel emplacement. if that's too strong, when aiming down sights lock direction until zoom out with similar swivel lock to how it currently functions.
- this is more of a QoL / fun, but the paintball mod is in the game files, why isn't she using it? It's literally got her logo on it and suites her character. It's not like the spitfire has any other alt fire mod at present anyway and its literally already attached to weapons via her passive anyway.
- additional passive effect that adds benefits to other players gear abilities, "modding" it so to speak. Octane's jump pad or wattson's fences for example.
- this ones a bit crazy, but perhaps the ability to mod doors into makeshift walls? sawing off the top and attaching amped cover? would become destructible like her walls.
- ability to place the amped shield onto surfaces apart from the wall, like desks or hand railings.
- ability to raise height of turret above ground to some extent. while risky as it puts you in the open, it can also give a height advantage to see or shoot enemies.
- The modifying idea's could even tie into requiring crafting materials to perform the actions.
That's all I can come up with from discussions, hear say, forums, and simply pondering on what would generally fit her playstyle and abilities.
Hope something from here catches a dev's eye or sounds great in concept.
