Proposed Crypto Buffs
When using Crypto's drone there are a few issue with his drone.
For one you literally have to sacrifice looting completely while using the drone, and end up playing
catchup with allies and gear later on. You also nearly completely sacrifice offensive capabilities while
engaging the enemy in drone form aside from his ultimate.
*These are possible buffs, obviously not all would be added*
Proposed Buffs
- Crypto's drone has 2 inventory slots for storable items (not helmet, shield, backpack or knockdown)
Items are dropped when the drone is destroyed.
Drone Recall time is increased based on number of items.
There is a subtle visual colour queue on the drone visible to others that shows the drone is carrying loot (colour based on rarity), should anyone decide to try and shoot it down to claim its booty.
When recalled the loot is left at Crypto's feet. - Crypto's drone has a tether that can snag larger items.
Tether is activated with gun trigger. Possibly ADS trigger yanks tether closer to drone.
This tether is very much visible along with whatever loot is attached. Tether is coloured based on attached loot.
The tether is somewhat fragile and can be broken when shot or damaged (similar to how drone used to be 1 shot), or upon drone destruction.
Drone recall time is increased when an item is tethered.
When recalled the loot is left at Crypto's feet.
Has a cooldown if broken by enemy fire. - Crypto can pop his ultimate while the drone is on his back.
The radius is greatly reduced when used in this form.
Possibly half shield damage as well. - Crypto's drone has a tiny tracking taser dart.
Gun trigger fires dart.
Dart deals 10 shield damage or 5 life damage.
Enemy is fully tracked (even behind terrain) for a brief duration (3-5 seconds?) while within a certain radius of the drone. (beyond regular tracking radius)
Enemies allies can shoot the dart off of allies to remove the tracking early.
Has a reload cooldown and limited ammo supply that is reloaded upon recalling drone. - Crypto's drone can hack breakable door's to lock or unlock them.
This prevents enemies from opening the door and forces them to break it down or go around.
This helps Crypto have an additional roll in distractions, or prevent enemies from escaping into a building by simply opening and closing doors.
Perhaps even add little panels to non-breakable doors that show when they are locked or unlocked, and when the locks are shot they open. This forces enemies to alert your team in order to proceed with an assault.
Cooldown before able to hack a door again.
These changes basically add the roll of interference for crypto. - Crypto's Drone is dropped at the location he activates the button at instead of automatically entering drone control.
Holding the trigger now performs the previous interaction of entering the drone right away. - Crypto's Drone prioritizes ally boxes when attempting to interact with anything nearby.
Drone has slightly increased grabbing range VS having to be immediately beside the stupid box.
This is being suggested as I literally just had a match where I could not pickup my ally since enemy was reviving ontop of his crate and it was also in a door frame. - Allies deal 10-15% increased damage against Drone highlighted targets.
This allows Crypto to use his drone a bit more aggressively, and allows allies to help makeup some of the difference between not having a 3rd gun immediately in a fight. - Crypto's Drone can hack redeploy to bring allies back if banner is held.
- Crypto's Drone can deactivate its active tracking radius and in exchange for no glowing light and slower silent travel.
Drone can be one shot in this state as before, making the glow light seem like a kind of defensive bullet shield.
Can still ping enemies as before with drone but cannot thermal track them.
Delay between swapping modes.
Upon activating ultimate, deactivate silent mode and increased ultimate activation time (1-2 additional seconds).
