Question about Origin/Steam Versions

I assume from now on, the game is going to function the same on both platforms, however while the Steam edition granted exclusive charms on login, do I need to keep that version of the game installed to unlock anything else, or was that just a welcome to steam gift in which keeping the Steam version is no longer needed at all?

    I did get the gift and did uninstall it on steam.

    I would have it on steam, but it doesn't support my Xbox friends like origin does.

    So... I playing it on origin. Again...
