Ranked Arenas Matchmaking Is Terrible

Question

I'm level 500 and platinum 1 on arena. Today, i was going to play a ranked arena match, but my mates were level 10 and they didn't play the 10 initial matches to earn a rank. Why Is the matchmaking so bad? This Is the fifth time this happened to me

PD: the enemies were level 100, 500 and +300

@GorditoChoripan Because barely anyone plays arena. I guess they throw all skill levels together just to get a respectable matchmaking time.
