I just had a Gold Tier IV would was level 74 and had zero game sense and said he hasn't played the game in three months. Please, just stay out of rank. He was bad and was no where near a Gold Tier.

Not the player's fault. Looks like this ranked system is not meant to match players together within their skill rank. Which I find a pity. I am a bad player (low skill), I belong to Bronze. But, by patience and enough of hiding and sneeking, I would collect my ranked points and meet you guys in Gold, eventually. Which is a bad system.
I hoped, ranked would help match me up against players of around my (low) skill level. But, as EVERYBODY passes through Bronze, I am still matched against (or grouped up with) players out of my league. And that's also why you have to deal with Gold players who have no Gold skill level, so to say. ... not the player's fault.

I'm almost Gold, and I'm not a particularly brilliant player. I do my best to support my team, but I'm often the one with the least kills.
The thing is, I don't see how I can prevent reaching tiers beyond my actual (shoot-y) skill. I'm Lvl 100, so I don't get any further rewards from progressing in that path. The Battlepass with the challenges is somewhat unsatisfying, so I decided not to buyi t yet.
Ranked right now is the only way for me to actually get a sense of progression and reward for playing, even if it only leads to bragging rights I don't care about, and competition with people with whom for me not to compete anymore should've been the point of the Ranked mode.

Right, same feeling here, although at Bronze level. Probably intended by design, but players of very different skill levels still mixing a lot, is not what I would have installed a ranked system for ...
if you like, see also a pity, ranked does not help being matched against players of my skill level

Level 100 is a very large barrier to entry. That can take a while for those that have work or school schedules, or pose some difficulties with matchmaking wait times if you reduce the amount of players that can queue up.
The real question you should ask is at what level do you think you've gained a clear understanding of the game. A level 30 player can be more skilled at the game than level 100, time played is the only thing separated the two.
Do you think level 10 is too low? If so, what level do you realistically think it should be at?We've seen some feedback on how Bronze players are queuing up with higher league players. Keep in mind that doesn't help the Platinum player out unless they think the Bronze player can help them avoid RP loss, but hey, maybe they also want to get into a competitive match with a friend?
Someone else mentioned in another discussion relative to this how you should only be able to queue up with someone X amount of leagues higher than you, so there is some form of league ceiling you can hit until you rank up higher.
