Re: AIM ASSIST IS TOO STRONG

The only way to counter aim assist is strafing so hard and hit all your shots to mess with aim assist, but you know how you reach that level? With thousands of hours, have you tried to play a full day with m/K you will have wrist pain and your arm will feel so tired that you will not keep gaming,(i only can play maximum 8 hours in a good day i always play like 3 or 4 hours and not daily), with controller that's not the case, i can play even longer without any repercussions. M/k is way more demanding in everything that's why is so frustrating that some random guy that it's not even trying can beam you only because devs gives him an aim assist so strong that can tracks you perfectly.
Aim assist will respond to enemies movement with 0ms delay while m/k are humans and only have human reactions 140-240ms.
Aim assist follow enemies with that 0ms delay and m/k players need to predict movement, if fails, you will miss half of your magazine.

Aim assist is not aimbot. Aim assist only slows your ads down near your target, AA is incredibly weak in apex. Try arguing with people playing warzone, thats OP classic aim assist. The only reason I play this is because this game focuses heavily on your aim and mechanical skills

  • @nvstrike not only slowdown while aiming on a target, that's the reason why everyone is complaining, take some time to see this clip please

    https://www.reddit.com/r/apexlegends/comments/haf32f/when_they_tell_you_aim_assist_isnt_that_strong_on/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

This is on PC, aim assist tracks people, that's is not just an slowdown, that's the reason why this thread exists, if only was just an slowdown no one would complain about it, but no, literally locks on enemies softly, obviously is not an aimbot, but for sure, that autotracking feature is way too broken

@audiofilomx I didn't say aim assist doesn't help, it's the only way controller can even imagine to compete with a mouse. I did say however that controllers have no advantage whatsoever against m+k, which was a wrong exaggeration.

Perhaps I should rephrase to controllers can have a few advantages, but are greatly outshined in most instances by a mouse.

Where did you find the 40% controller usage statistic? I couldn't find any source on the matter. It is impressive for sure, I would have guessed it doesn't even reach 5% (again, no source, it's an educated guess at best.) Still, even if 40% is the true number, that's nowhere near close to prevalent input method. It does show that aim assist is much stronger than I give it credit for however.

M+k has a higher skill ceiling than controller. Aim assist can only get you so far.

@BillyCrash100 Look the ALGS finals on Youtube, 60 players join the final, a bunch of teams are filled with controlled players, if you know the players you can easily do the math, or just search them on twitch and you will know how many use m/k and how many are on controller, i'm not saying is 40% exactly, but for sure it's not less tan 30%

lmao thats insane, I can understand if that was on console at least but a whole platform that has unlimited range of motion to aim? Bruh. Well its good to know if pc controller players come onto ps4/xbox their aim is gonna be all over the place lmao.

At least 90% of times I die is to a controller player... Even in pubs, is stupid and irritating. I know a couple controller players who were predators in console and they decided to play on PC and guess what? They were top 100 predators in one split of playing on PC. ALGS is filled with controller players sadly. As long as controllers are mixed within m/k competition will never be a thing in PC platform.

  • The problem is not aim assist it's players using third party input conversion devices to allow them to cheat the system adding the macros that they use to cancel recoil and they should all be banned the game should be decided on individual skill not who's cheating the most input conversion devices and controller mods are often cheaper then buying a good gaming keyboard or controller and the bands that are handed out needs to be a blanket ban on that IP address meaning that just setting up a new account will not work

@Hilshire12 IP ban brings nothing, HWID ban is so much better. The cheater needs to buy a complete new pc ;D

@Raklor_R HID spoofers exist sadly. Once one is banned they generate new numbers never being caught.
  • @nvstrike Maybe try taking the point into consideration instead of puking the same tired * "but controllers are at such a disadvantage with everything else".  Then choose a different input method nerd.  Controllers and aim assist are fine on consoles where they belong.  I want to play Apex with a Super Scope on PC.  Should respawn give me whatever advantage I need to overcome that unit's deficiencies?  Of course not.  You would tell me, use m/k, git gud.  So I say to you, NO AIM ASSIST, git gud.

@SacrificialSloth Imagine being such a bot and losing to controller players. Get better lil bud, maybe youll hit your shots one day!
  • @nvstrike Then why controller players don't turn off aim assist and get good too? Why rely your aim on an in game assistance and not be good by yourself? Like m/k players do

I know its hard to accept facts that hurt your ego but you just gotta get better.

Ok look at when this account was made, and shouldn't you be playing so you can get better instead of crying on a forum?

  • Yaw pitch and speed, never talk in a forum again. I played with a controller and I have 300 hours on mouse and keyboard, memorizing recoil, flicking, all of the caboose. Plugged in a controller and got my first 20 bomb.
