Re: Apex losing players

If we still get xp for surviving why dont we see it...changing to the current BP turned it into a grind and took all the enjoyment from it....and what if you dont complete the challenges?....you dont get rewarded you have to do the challenges to get BP lvls

@theforgotin1 If you click your challenges menu - you see the xp bar at the top. It says Stars OR Experience Points
  • I went up 15 account lvls but only 7 BP lvls since the start of season two...you dont get rewards for just XP you HAVE to do the challenges to advanve your BP

    @theforgotin1

There was feedback from the community how the Season 1 Battle Pass felt "grindy" so the team added daily and weekly challenges to help level up your Battle Pass even faster. Here's the full details, but yes, if you do the daily and weekly challenges it will dramatically help level up your Battle Pass. Good news is that the weekly challenges don't expire if you plan to take a break for a week or so. That way you're not forced to play every week or else you'll miss out on maxing out the Battle Pass by the time the Season ends.

    Full article

More than half of your Weekly Challenges will grant an entire Battle Pass level as a reward. The remaining Daily & Weekly Challenges grant STARS which, combined with match XP, contribute to a repeatable Weekly Challenge that grants a full Battle Pass level with each completion. STARS are XP specific to Battle Pass, meaning STARS do not impact Account Level progression.

    Daily Challenges

Each day, you will receive three new Daily Challenges chosen randomly from a pool of over two hundred. These challenges range from “Deal 200 Damage in Bunker” to “Play 1 game as Lifeline” and are intended to be achievable in a short play session. Complete your daily challenge and earn 3,000 STARS each.

Your challenge pool will reset every day, so be sure to check back regularly to maximize Battle Pass progress.

    Weekly Challenges

Each week, you will receive a set of seven new Weekly Challenges. These challenges are intended to take several play sessions to complete and range from "Get 20 Kills as Gibraltar, Bangalore, or Mirage” to “Loot 100 Epic items.” Four of the Weekly Challenges are worth 6,000 STARS each (24,000 STARS total) and three of the Weekly Challenges grant an entire Battle Pass level each upon completion.

Starting the season late? No problem – you’ll get access to all previous Weekly Challenges at one. So, if you start in Week 3, you’ll get access to Week 1, 2, and 3 challenges immediately (21 in total).

    Weekly Resetting Challenges

Each week, you’ll have an additional set of three special resetting Weekly Challenges. These are the same every week and refresh even if you haven’t completed them. Keep a careful eye on these to make maximum Battle Pass progress.

    • Complete five Daily Challenges – Rewards one Battle Pass level
    • Complete 10 Daily Challenges – Rewards one Battle Pass level
    • Earn 9,000 STARS and/or match XP – Rewards one Battle Pass level
      • This quest may be repeated an unlimited number of times each week.
      • Each completion increases the STARS and/or match XP required for the next by 9,000, up to a maximum of 54,000. You need 9,000 for the first level, 18,000 for the second level, etc. This challenge resets to 9,000 each week.

I dont want to have to do any challenges for BP lvl. In fact it's more grinding and forcing players to change thier play style by having to do the challanges in order to receive BP lvls instead of like season one where you earned a lvl with XP in match...i have yet to rrcieve a BP lvl for just playing and earning XP that way

This can’t be true. You only need 9000 survival xp to gain your first level, and that’s without completing a single challenge. It breaks down like this.

    9000 xp    1st level

    18000.       2nd

    24000.        3rd

    36k.            4th

    45k.             5th

    54k.             6th

This is per week, which resets every Tuesday morning. Once you get to the 54k xp level, you’ll have to get 54k to make each new level, until the next Tuesday. When it all resets.

This is the model for xp advancement without any challenges. You also get bonus xp for placing in the top 5. There are huge bonuses to this top 5 bonus as you progress in the BP. They can get up to, and are capped off at, a 300% xp bonus while playing in a premade squad. This is similar to season 1. The bonuses are way higher now, but you have to place in the top 5.

Here’s what else will happen. You’ll be completing some of the weeklies without even trying. Just standard gameplay and you’ll be getting some free levels. Check them out. Some are as easy as play a single match with a certain legend and you get a level. Some are as easy as open a certain number of supply crates.

The new new challenge system is superior overall. It encourages players to step out of their comfort zone, and rewards them for doing so. If any player doesn’t want to expand their game competence, and remain playing a singular way, they will still be able do so. This will be more of a grind however, which was the fault in season 1’s design.

The daily challenges are just for 24 hours, but the weeklies, despite being called a Weekly Challenge, never go away, and your going to find your self completing more and more of them with your standard play style preference, as time goes by, anyway.

    Hope this helps.

Step out of the box. Even if it’s just one toe at a time.

  • True but unlike season one where you only needed 29500 (if i remeber correctly) gor each BP lvl you now have to get hndreds of thousands in a week to earn less BP lvls. I mean 54000 for a BP lvl come on thats ridiculous ...they didnt decrease the grind they INCREASED it dramaticly!

@theforgotin1But you get a full level for playing a game as caustic... That means you've got a full level for potentially as little as a few hundred XP, for dropping in and getting knocked without ever getting anywhere. Do you not see the mitigating factor that brings to the 54k xp thing? Also - in order to have to do 54k xp to get a level : you've earned multiple levels up to that point that week for SIGNIFICANTLY LESS than 29500...

Actually Darth Vaapar broke it down exactly how it works for just gaining xp. And you do in fact gain BP levels just from xp, it’s just slower. If you want it to go faster you do the challenges. So you do, after all, level up from xp.

  • I know he did and he did great! All im saying is that the new BP system sux and if they wanted to keep with the challamges make separate rewards like they did during the legendary hunt!

That was a great system and they also increased the grind for players like me who dont even worry abount 90% of the challanges because they dint fit into my play style. I dont know any other MMO game that you need 54000 points for a lvl. thats just absured. Whoever said they wanted to DECREASE the grind got things backwards because thats all it is now...a major grind and completely ruined the game for alot of people. And i also found out miltiple other people feel the same way.

In a lot of games the XP progression will scale as you get higher level. Like this below:

    • Level 1: 10 XP
    • Level 2: 25 XP
    • Level 3: 50 XP
    • Level 4: 100 XP
    • Level 50: 10,000 XP

With this progression system it continues to reset weekly so it will be easier to gain levels in a shorter span of time, making it feel less like a "grind." In this system you could be at level 40 and only need 9,000 to get that next level while in other systems you'll need to get 54K to go from 40 to 41. Hope that makes a sense what I'm saying. Supposed there's only a day left to max out your Battle Pass and you don't have hours to gain an incredible amount of XP for the last few levels, this will very much be in your favor.

I get where you're coming from though and if you're not a huge fan of challenges you won't level up as fast, but as others said these challenges can be easily completed through standard play. Last night I was able to complete the 5 kills with an SMG without even trying for it, just happened to use some SMGs while I was playing.

Im gonna think about it and if i decide to reinstall it on my cinsole ill just buy my lvks like EA and Respawn want their players to do.

  • Going off the 'public opinion' in this thread you're just lazy because it's way easier to level up now than it was before. I've gotten 4 levels over 4 games today

Lazy i dint think so!!!!! Wait till you jeed 54k just to get one lvk without changing your gameplay! I pkay games that require 1000 times more grindibg in them so dont get in an uproar and call them lazy if you dont know anything about the gammer!!!!!! I really hope you read the entire article because if you look at most of the games put out by EA you need to spend money in order to get anywhere in the game. And before you answer please tell me if thats not the case and why can you purchase lvl in game!!!! I dont appreciate your assumed insult against me because like i saud you dont know who i am or what games i play!!!

That article came straight from google not me!

  • I don't care about the collective opinion of ea in general, I don't like them but I do like respawn. The topic of this thread was about the battle pass system and that's what I am commenting on. You say I don't 'know' about you or how you play yet you've clearly said that you don't wish to cooperate in the new system and then complain how that's not working for you.

    >I dont want to have to do any challenges for BP lvl

Multiple users have posted proof how it's much easier in general for the average user to accumulate levels and you ignore them. It's not respawns fault for your inability to play the game when it's laid out on the ground for you

Respawn is EA otherwise we would be talking about thus on thier site not EA's!!! The legendary hunt set up was great with the system that was already in place. If you do the checking respawn or who ever has lost 20% of apex players because of the new system!

Im done with this conversation we were having a civil disagreement about the new BP system then you come in throwing around insults..if anybody is lazy its you wanting it to be easier id rather earn them the hard way intead of taking the easy way out!!!!!
