Just sayin'... However, there are so endlessly many Caustic fix ideas, all of them pretty much want the same thing. How about we make one thread a central thread so we don't have 100 topics about literally the same thing?

    @Peri_Longbow_plzYou know something that's a great idea, why don't someone make 1 topic for each legend. Discuss what changes can be made to them.

    Then Respawn picks it up and throws it away. (lol)

    If all they do is stare at Winrate/pickrate Apex will stay the same. How about make a topic based on pickerate/winrate. Every suggestion isn't going to do much, unless every Apex player admits

    balancing based on tracker is useless.

    @XLnarrator What else do you want to base the balancing on? Just on pure feel?

    I do agree that going purely for winning and picking rates isn't the best idea. In fact that has never truly worked out. But if a certain weapon or a certain legend remains among the top picked for an extended period of time, then it's worth investigating. I like to remind that Octane is still the most picked legend. To whom I agree a nerf. Wraith is the second, however in this case I do think she's fine as she is. Next up is Bloodhound, to who I agree for a nerf again. At least according to unofficial Apex Legends stats, mind you.

    I consider Caustic to be the least in the need for a buff. There are legends who have been begged to be buffed over the course of several seasons and haven't seen any. In that time span, Caustic fluctuated back and forth several times, going from needing a buff to needing a nerf and everything in-between.

    @Peri_Longbow_plz Yeah, it should be based on pure feel where the Community is the democracy. And the creators makes a common idea out of it.

    Common sense and feeling. What the majority says she be done. Make polls every now and then, then the final idea should be based off the common idea

    @XLnarrator I can tell you right here and right now that this would cause more imbalance compared to what we have already. Because things which are already very popular will be demanded to be buffed, which narrows the viable choices for weapons and characters even more. Even back in Season 4 a lot of people wanted Wraith to be buffed. When her hitbox was the size of a paper with an almost instant-cast ability, endlessly holding portals and whatnot. Now project that to your suggestion of the community deciding for buffs and nerf.

    @Peri_Longbow_plzAlright not everything is perfect.
    Make a poll if Wraith was powerful and most agrees why change her? Then the creators would suggest nerf or no change to her. That would be said and done. Make sense out of the senseless.

    Like if Caustic was at the bottom, they would make a poll and Devs would be consent on how to buff him

    @XLnarrator The developers seem to focus exclusively on the mobility legends. If you look at the pick rates, the top picked ones are likely mobility based. The only exception would be Lifeline. Although she's still exceptionally nimble.

    I hate this mobility meta personally. But this is what the majority of the players want. Speed and even more speed. Very rarely do I see people asking for an understandable Rampart buff. And those that I made in the past were highly ignored. However, if you ask for a small Octane nerf - ho boy - watch the horde rolling in.

    @Peri_Longbow_plzThis is not about Caustic anymore is it? (Oh well tell them to create another Caustic topic). Fans want Wattson and Caustic to be buffed. Have u been on Reddit, alot of her mains want her to be an actual RepairsMan. Dude, they want Defense to be kind of useful. Who can stop the aggressors? Defense, so the offensive would think a little of thier power is a whole lot.

    Passive for Caustic
    Make Rampart a Craftsman
    Just a little improvement even aggressors approve of.

    As the playerbase change, Apex will adapt

    @XLnarrator Right. Back to Caustic.

    He needs some sort of buff, yes. But a lot of the suggested buffs often consist of "make his gas deadlier" - We have one guy in this thread who even says "make enemies inside of the gas more vulnerable to incoming damage" - Which would quickly turn him from 'he could be better' to 'now he becomes a necessity'...

    The amount of synergies with that buff alone are endless. Almost all damaging abilities would get a 15% buff when paired with caustic (for some legends that's going to be broken) - But even with gunfire alone... 15% more damage is a lot.

    I would rather see a utility buff. Which I have proposed a while ago but for the most part got ignored. Go figure, lol.

    My idea is:
    Hes a mad scientist, his passive should be altering his Health and Shield into gas utility. Then he'll have an actual passive, his Canister would be deadly, and he'll be more mobile

    Did they even take away the extra visible enemies in gas?  I cant remember the last time I saw someone outlined that was in my gas.  I wouldn't even care if they took away the damage but brought back the vision blur.  My biggest gripe with him at the moment though is that when the damage was boosted they added the ability to shoot the barrels whilst deploying at the same time.  Then they reduced the damage but left the easily destroyed traps.  At the moment the only thing caustic really feels useful for is blocking doors quickly with traps.

    I accept that its not an easy thing to balance but I played him right from the start and it would be nice if he was in a better place again.
