Re: E-District should go back for major edits

@reconzeroI do agree with your assessment it is a change for  change sake (the reloaded bins), but my point is spot on - The Lotus buildings are covered on 6+ floors each with loot. The problem I see is there isn't any other location on the map like it. If they wanted to make a verticality playing map, this one section of the map is a fantastic start. you can have 6 to 8 teams land there and they could all find plenty of loot before engaging each other.

They could make a map one fourth the size of E District, have three POIs like The Lotus, and it would play pretty nice as there would be much more action at the start and much of it with decent weapons/ammo/shields/health.

My worst nightmare. PUBG did this. I hope Apex doesn't go down that road.

Pray tell what exactly did PUBG do and why did it turn out bad?

Also, they could shrink the size of E-Dist to half and have The Lotus at the center. That would actually make more sense TBH.

Played again yesterday on this map.

Again, all I have to say is …. Where is the loot!? Holy crap, where is the loot!?  Why does an entire building have only one stack of light ammo and nothing else? Why do the loot bins have nothing in them other than a Mozam?

Loot, we need Loot! Please for the love of all that is good - please, need loot!

I actually like this map, but the loot pool stops me from playing. What it also stops me from doing, is spending money.

    Just saying.

So I was playing on this map just now and we landed in Resort. We were the only ones there so I went all around it as much as my team would tolerate waiting for me. What I found was there was some loot along the water edges.

    But no one goes there!

And you wonder why the map is lean on loot on average?

The Lotus is loaded to the teeth with loot, and there are loots around edge POIs that people think should be avoided.

Shipyard is a lot the same in this regard. Loot everywhere, but no one goes there.

Pubg introduced a 1/4 sized map. It didn't turn out badly. People loved it. It only turned out badly for me. That map shouldn't have been in the regular rotation. It should have had its own playlist. I'm never against giving people whatever it is they think they want, but I object pretty strenuously when it represents a significant change over the game as I've come to know it, and when it isn't optional.

@reconzero you have no idea how much i appreciate what you just said...

about how people ask for things they THINK they want in a game.

There are so many examples, but biggest I can think of always have to do with people leaving decades of arena shooters like cod and Halo, and joining the battle royale tsunami... and then trying to get rid of all of the things that differentiate the two. "BR needs less looting, more shooting." "BR needs smaller, faster maps." "BR needs fixed spawns instead of drop ships and choice." The list goes on and on. Why wouldn't people just go back to cod or Halo or any one of dozens of fast-paced twitch shooters instead of whining about how slow and boring battle royale is?

Oh, so can I. I just wonder if we're thinking of the same one. But whether so or not, I'll leave politics aside, if only as a courtesy to the mods. 😉

I have really come to enjoy this map as a sniper’s paradise.

also the engagements in the stairwell at the roof level has be the most satisfying I have found on any map. A team working to control the stairwell from pushes coming up from below and from the roof via zip line is the most fun I have had with any team. Control the stairwell at the end ring and it’s pretty nice.
