Companies will always be looking for things to improve, even when people don't ask for it.

In my personal opinion, yes they've made quite the mistake introducing this system, though I currently find that irrelevant.

May I ask why you are not playing pubs then?

You just said yourself that ranked and pubs is pretty much the same, so your issue is simply solved by moving over to pubs.

And saying that it's "worse" on pubs... well in that case you would never be satisfied with reasonable changes.

Your suggestions aren't intended to fix the core issue, they're workarounds that would allow you to avoid these situations whilst introducing larger problems into the game itself.

People charging in and dying? That's purely behaviour of players, nothing to do with the new ranked system, being able to leave without a timed penalty or solo, duo's and trio's playing on the same server.

People can't control other players, we can at least introduce changes to increase the QoL, though the negatives are not allowed to outweigh the positive side.

Just because the competitive integrity was lost a time ago really does not make it a compelling argument to make it worse.

Personally I don't see any reason to implement your changes as they're really not going to resolve the issues you'd wish to have resolved.

  • @XHelperZHonestly in my opinion people in casual games should be penalized for leaving early.
    It's no fun for those who are trying to enjoy the game at its fullest to get saddled with a teammate that thinks they're the best thing on the planet and leaves as soon as the match starts because they don't want the burden of a weak team. It ruins the gaming experience as a whole.
    Apex seriously needs to fix their match making system for things to get better. Better match making means lobbies will be more evenly matched and (hopefully) less likelihood of teammates leaving. Then a penalty wouldn't even be needed.
