A match replay mode. since the game is based on source engine, which has a really well functioning replay system, then it should be pretty straight forward to implement, right?
being able to scale GUI elements, i.e. minimap scale, team/healthbar scale, anything HUD related would be lovely to have a scaler for.
for the replay system, being able to remove the HUD completely would be nice aswell.
notes for replay mode:
- let the previous 10 matches be ready for download, so it doesnt do it automatically, but once downloaded it will be available on a second list of matches you have downloaded.
- Freecam/camera paths, (like HLAE for CSGO)
- Be able to speed up/slow down the replay, so we can capture high fps clips, even for low specced systems.
- be able to get rid of HUD and visual clutter, such as your own shield being cracked, be able to remove weapon box(bottom right), hipfire crosshair, player healthbar and teammates, minimap.
- have a display killfeed mode, so everything on the HUD is disabled, except for the killfeed
- set the display killfeed mode to display only your knocks/kills, or lobby knocks/kills
- have a replay box, where you can skip from kill to kill, or ring number to ring number fast, so you can single out the clip you want to be replayed.
This would help out with VOD reviews for pro teams, it would make for some potentially very sick fragshows/edits, and would help out the individual player to improve, if they are willing to look back at what they could have done better in their matches.
the ammount of community made content would be crazy, and i really think this should be taken into consideration, as it would (maybe) make the game reach a wider audience.
