Re: The Revenant Conundrum.
@MandatoryIDtag I’m going against the grain as one who used Revenant as secondary main. 1) hitbox... I have no problems with hitting another Rev and the debuff is due to him being skinnier than a s...
Soooo yeah, revenant needs some work.
Even those of you that play as him have to agree on this much.
There are 3 major let downs to this legend as far as i'm concerned and they are as follows:
The hit box.
So revenant is quite large in the scheme of things, but his hit box is actually larger than his character model. Now this wouldn't really be too much of an issue if it wasn't for the fact that that he receives the low profile debuff. Which frankly is bizarre as this debuff is generally associated with legends that have the smallest hit boxes. (See attached picture for a hit box comparison).
Slightly trimming his hit box down and removing low profile would go a long way to improving this legend.
The Tactical.
Now this is purely a matter of opinion on my part, however i think the basics of revenant's tactical is fine, it's the delivery that's lacking.
I would propose that the tactical is altered to have a 15m range with a 30° area of effect in front of him without lingering in the area afterwards. This way revenant players much more likely to silence their intended target and be limited to only really using his tactical at a range where it's useful. As a trade off for the loss of range they could potentially hit more than one target instantly with the 30° radius.
The Ultimate.
Now this thing would be perfectly fine as it is,if it wasnt for the fact that;
A) It's currently incredibly easy to track down due to how loud it is.
B) the area of effect is much too small for it to be of any real use, if you can be killed in shadow form and then instantly tracked down in less time than it takes to pop a med kit, what's the point?
So yeah, a noise reduction and a range increase would go a long way to improving this legend.
I realise this was a bit of an essay so thanks to anybody who took the time to read it, would love to hear your thoughts on how this legend could be improved.
@Sir_Named I thought it was in a good place personally, it's only the high rise buildings in fragment he can't climb isn't it? Can't think of anything else lol.
Also i agree with your point about his tactical, he's more of a guerilla style combatant, which is why i thought his tactical should be a direct blast. 😛
@MandatoryIDtagHis height limit is around the size of the low walls at the train stops in Refinery and Sorting Factory. You can directly climb up the sides, but go to the front or back and try to go any higher. You can’t. Also, in King’s Canyon, the weird gate thing on the desert side of the Bunker. I don’t think Revenant can climb the tall part in the middle from the ground. (I remember trying, and failing, but I could remember wrong.)
It works for many situations, but it would be nice if it was better.
p.s. Sorry about the weird descriptions, it’s just a bit difficult to describe the places I’m talking about.
@Sir_Named It's cool i know where you mean lol. 😛
