Re: This is why player force to quit the game (fix matchmaking algorithm)

@TSMkingsoloThey have a training wheels lobby for levels 1 to 10. Lots of people make "smurf" accounts to access these ridiculously easy lobbies. Not going to lie, I made one and got 22 kills, 4200 damage and won my first game... But then my second match was against "high skill" players. Then my 3rd was back to training wheels lobby.
Basically if you are good at a shooter, the game will figure it out eventually and put you against other good shooters.

But I do agree with your point.  If you party up with lower skilled friends, the game still places you in high skill lobbies.  It really has to be this way to stop people from abusing the system and getting high skilled players into low skill lobbies all the time.

  • @Pallo420 i disagree, wholeheartedly

see, in Ranked i get it, you should always be competing on as even of a playing field as possible, period

however in PUBS there should be no SBMM whatsoever, sure you’re going to run into Toosh (or any other top tier Apex players for this matter), but that doesn’t matter if you’re just playing for fun and with friends, right? you get killed, you move on to the next match and hopefully learn something in the process

i honestly don’t understand why there’s any kind of SBMM for PUBS

@MIH4YL0WICH This topic is very highly debated on reddit and other posts here. No one likes dying to "sweats" with 40,000+ kills. But they exist and they are always in my lobbies lol
Every match you play only ONE team can win, which means that 19 teams lose. So if you want to have fun and mess around then go drop in a remote location away from the hot drops and cities. Set your expectations to lose, because even the best players still lose more often than win.
  • @Pallo420 i don’t mind losing at all, i just find it extremely annoying and unfun having to fight in sweatiest of lobbies (only Predators and Diamonds for me) while i just want to have fun with friends

if i feel like actually competing, we have ranked for that purpose exactly

I wonder though how many in your lobby that actually are predators and diamonds. I am Diamond in ranked, and about 2.6 k/d ranked and 2.2 k/d overall, and lately I must say my normal casual mode SBMM has been quite fair. Sure, there will be 5-6 players with predator trails and maybe 15-20 with diamond trails but honestly, I would say thats a pretty fair that about 50% of my server is on that level based on my own rank and k/d etc.

What we know empirically is that most highly skilled players will drop at the beginning of the drop ship path because they just wanna frag so if you also drop early (like myself since I dont care squat about winning) it will ofc "feels" like the server is super stacked.

@Babbediboopi i’m also diamond, cannot be bothered to actually grind ranked, lol

my k/d is around 1.5, mainly because my 7yo likes to play too
