@DK9027 not a bad example. but heres the thing im trying to keep it simplistic. anything that requires a hop up entails further development, and is subject to having the hop up removed. IE, skull piercer and the wingman.
i also want it to be unique otherwise theres no point in using it. lets say you shot a pistol that sprayed like the mozambique does. but uses energy. this would be the question why dont i just use the mozambique.
plus hop ups mean more money because then workers have to develop said item just to be used on another item. id rather it use an already existing hop up like the boost loader or something if anything.
plus if they made an energy pistol that overheats i worry 343 studios would get involved saying its a carbon copy energy pistol from halo. which does that already. you charge it, fire it and it overheats and has to cool before a full power shot can be used again.
