Probably so you can get carried by more experienced players,
feel good in game
and then buy some skins.
I think thats the logic behind Apex MM.

Problem is that this mostly doesnt work.

This is making more players leave the game than buy anything in store.
If you cant carry your weight in higher rank lobbies,
you will just most likely bring your whole team down.

I was always way above average when it comes to skill in this game (once destroyed 2 TOP750 players alone and almost third one too),
and this seems to work against me in every match I go into.
My teammates just cant carry their weight in 9 of 10 matches,
or I die 1v3 because they refuse to fight...
