Recovering a deleted account

I have a suggestion concerning recovering a deleted account: why not make it possible to recover the deleted account just by simply logging in with the password. I remember my email address that is linked to my deleted account, my password and my EA ID but I cannot recover my deleted account because I no longer have access to my old

email account and a verification email is the only option to recover the deleted account.

    Hi @DeepBlossom, 

    It is possible to recover your EA account after a deletion if you reset the password though...

    In our guide: How can I close my EA Account? it shares this:

    You mentioned that you can't access the email on the EA account where the password reset link would be sent out too. I'm sorry, that means you don't have a way to retrieve the password reset link. If at all possible, try to recover the email account.

    It cannot be recovered because the provider doesn't exist anymore. Trust me, I've tried.

    But please pass on my suggestion to be able to login with the old password so that I can login to change my email address and get back playing.

    Ok, I spent several days messaging back and forth with the email provider and they have managed to recover my old email address. It's not free anymore so I have to pay for it but it works.

    So I have now encountered another problem, I'm not receiving the verification email to reset my password and to recover my EA account. Last night the customer servicer lied to me that deleted accounts cannot be recovered. Now that I've gone through all the trouble to recover my email account I think it's EA's turn to fix the problem with this missing verification email.

    I can see my old account ID and game in my son's neighbourhood so it's a bit frustrating to hear that it doesn't exist or cannot be recovered. Please fix this problem.
