@audiofilomxThe aim assist is so low though compared to a game like fortnite, on fortnite i can shoot people across the map i still miss shots but it atleast can do damage on apex that isnt the case at all, apex aim assist is mainly op in close range with a r-99 or prowler, snipers and stuff it really dosnt help at all atleast not for me lmao I suck at sniping in general, ive been trying mouse and keyboard on a different account and sniping is so much easier on mouse and keyboard, you just move the mouse in the area you want and i land shots consistantly but on controller that just isnt the case its either my sensitivity is too high or low but i just cant smoothly use my joystick to the exact location unless a player is standing still and i have time to do so but on mouse and key its so much simpler ( i lowerred my mouse and key sensitivity to a 2.75 vs the 5 that it was on by default and thats what made it so much smoother) but in close range i can also hitfire alot easier on mouse and key, but depends on the situation and weapons
Controllers do need alittle bit of aim assist because mouse and key have full range of motion while controllers are limited to a tiny box its usually too far and not enough i think I keep my look on a 6 and rest on a 5 maybe a 4 per optic sensitivitys

They use a emulator for the PC (called Xim-Tech), which emulates a Controller and you got Aim-Assist, while you are playing with mouse and keyboard...
Pls Respawn remove that Aim-Assist on PC...its horrible!

And you know for a fact that all these controller people are using modified programs to trick APEX that their Mouse is a Controller so AIM ASSIST is turned on??
There are Controller users who are so good, their accuracy is a lot better than my M+K. I can not mimic their accuracy on my own controller.... even back in my console days, some people could 360 quickscope headshot me. They are crazy good much as how our top PC M+K shooters are crazy good.I honestly feel M+K users are blaming Controller users for their death when, statistically, the majority uses M+K.... IF there are any weird "Aim Assist" accusations like an R-99 scoping them from across the map... that is a hack program that killed you, not a Controller or some modified "Aim Assist" mouse.

Lol just got aim assisted again. Hits me for 200 by a controller player. But just ignore me. I've went against top 100 preds and havent been one magged by an r99 before
- 6 years ago@Tperodactyl Well, how do you know it’s a controller?
- 6 years ago@audiofilomx Are you talking about console top players or pc controller top players?
Top console players probably do have really good accuracy, because they are the top.
Console doesn’t have the same aim assist as pc, it’s less. - 6 years ago@Sir_Named Pc controller top players; and yeah aim assist is not the same on pc and console, console is just ridiculous, but everyone have it, so there's no issue there, the problem is only on PC, aim assist at close range is OP, even muzzle flash is irrelevant for aim assist, Pc controller players can track easily in low light situations with r-99 only because aim assist, just watch averageaden, soar_jonny, xedmin or daltoosh on ranked and they beam people even with muzzle flash blinding them, that not happened with m/K even aceu, dizzy, shroud, Diegosaurus, etc, are having troubles in low light situations because of muzzle flash, another thing that nobody is considering is that almost every fight in apex is at close range, so you can do a lot of damage, down 1 enemy at mid-long-range, but in order to get the kills you need to get closer and in that moment you will be destroyed by a controller, like Diegosaurus said you will loose 7 out of 10 against a controller player at close range.
- 6 years ago@Sir_Named Answering to how do you know it's a controller?, on Pc you can watch them loot after you die, and controller players can't move when looting, everyone at high levels on pc moves while looting. There's one easy way to know.
- 6 years ago@audiofilomx Alright, thanks for clarifying whether you know it’s controller or not.
But, let’s say you get into a close range fight. You can still win, as aim assist doesn’t do headshots. (From what I’ve gathered.) So, in effect, you could kill a controller at close range by hitting headshots, thereby out dps-ing them, or surprising them/hitting unexpectedly or something. Plus, the shooting is only one aspect, as m/k players still have the advantage movement-wise.
I don’t see how aim assist on console is ridiculous, it’s less than aim assist on pc. - 6 years ago@Sir_Named Because some people are streaming and when they do I can see if they are on controller or not. That's the only way I know for sure
