I don't think they are unstoppable. I'm a horrible player at this game and I've killed a few people with gold backpacks. No matter how you look at it, certain people are going to gain advantages in the game based on the loot they have. If you have a white armor and they have purple, they will have advantage. If they have a Alternator with all purple add ons, and you only have blue.. They are going to have an advantage. The game definitely involves a degree of luck with the loot.
It's such a rare item, like it's very useful and can save you in some situations but it's not going to guarantee you an insta win that's for sure!
