- @Ff3NiXx ??? Mastiff has quite a bit of spread.
It also has more spread when hipfiring.
The enemy would've had to ADS, so hitting you isn't the hardest thing in the world.
Just stay like 5 meters away or something. Why did you have to go to the one distance where Mastiff is effective? It's literally a shotgun, what do you expect?- @Sir_Named ahahahha stay 5 meters away ? When you are in the fight you are not able to leave insofar as you are DEAD instant by a noskill player with mastiff 200 dom in 2 hits = less than 2 sec.
- @Ff3NiXx Well, it should be difficult to close the distance to 1m or less, but you somehow allowed them to get that far. Why did you let him get that close? Did he ambush you?
But again, it's a shotgun, what are you expecting? It's supposed to be good at close range, and it is. The Mastiff isn't good at any other range.
They still have to aim, so it's not exactly no skill.

I have to disagree with you, the mastiff was good were it was before the nerf, maybe a slower firing rate but the damage was well deserved.
At the range of 10 meters or less you should be getting 100 damage from a shot gun, because that's its purpose, come to close, get 2 pumped.
But for real my big issue is, it taking 2 shots to finish someone for a shield swap, it's alot more inconvenient now.

R99 feels weak without at least a blue ext mag compared to previous seasons.Still nothing for mastiff ? i took just 110 without difficulty cuz there is no spread on this weapon. All beginners are able to use it.
@Ff3NiXx The R-99 is really easy to use at close range and debateably easier than the Mastiff. The Mastiff is debateably stronger at close range which it should be. Shotguns should beat out most other weapons at barrel stuffing range.
You pushed a shotgun user at close range and were punished for it.

I also got 2 tapped by a Mastiff and level 60 player.But for me the mastiff is bad, I always get killed when I try to use it.
I get a lot of no reg or just plain miss all my shots.
And again ! Mastiff mastiff mastiff ! 95% of my losses are due to this noskill weapon. Remove it from the game. I don't care if beginners are not able to get a top 1.
@Ff3NiXxAbsolute rubbish. I have played all week in ranked and pubs and 90% of my knocks are from the R99.
I probably see the Mastiff in 10-20% of my deaths. Its good at very close range but its a shotgun for god sake.
- @Ff3NiXx if you're gonna just stand there and try to one clip someone with an R99 while they're lining up a mastiff shot, then it's no wonder you died. If they pushed you while you were shooting at them, then you can't really blame the gun for getting in their range. A mastiff under hip fire rarely if ever does any significant amount of damage, with pellet spread.
