I can't (my opinion) say something is free, when i have to do something to gain the ability of so called free.
EDIT - I strongly disagree that Microsoft Xbox Live servers are protected any better than PC and/or Sony's PSN. I gave up on Microsoft when they fired their security team for Xbox Live and replaced them with the "Xbox Ambassador" program. I had a job once for a company that tests games, and while testing i found someone i was grouped with was talking how they could get anyone off of bans and/or reports.
So, yep not dealing with Microsoft ever again. I'll stick to PC for my video games. I'm not biased towards people who use them, just haven't had the best of time using them.
Plus, i don't feel no one has a voice on consoles at all. It seems all feedback gets locked away, never used. I'm glad EA has a forum for most of their games If i tried to do something like this with a Microsoft title, forget it, nothing would be done , ever.
Example i had 3 months of Game pass from my CPU i got in JAN. I tested out Halo Reach for PC during the new release and came into some issue during my play. I had to first link my account to a site called Halo Waypoint. I made a post because there was no custom controls for controllers on PC. My post got a warning for something lol.
Say yah, It's best i don't ever play anything from Micrososft.
