Request to open console solo-queue to PC lobbies to fix matchmaking times

I've been playing Apex on PlayStation with crossplay enabled, and I'm honestly exhausted by the matchmaking times.

What's frustrating is that crossplay is already on, yet as a solo console player I can sit in queue for several minutes just trying to find a match. But the moment I join a friend who's on PC, matchmaking suddenly becomes almost instant.

That tells me the players are there. The issue seems to be that solo console players are being kept in a separate matchmaking pool, even when we've explicitly opted into crossplay.

I'm not asking for forced crossplay. I'm asking for the option that we're already opting into to actually mean something.

If I choose to enable crossplay, let me queue into PC lobbies as a solo player if it helps reduce matchmaking times. I'd rather play against mixed-input lobbies than spend more time staring at "Matchmaking..." than actually playing the game.

At this point, the queue itself is becoming a bigger reason to log off than losing matches. It's incredibly discouraging to wait several minutes for every game, especially when I know the exact same account can find a match almost immediately just by partying with one PC friend.

Please consider opening solo console queues to PC lobbies when crossplay is enabled, or at least make it an optional setting for players who prioritize faster matchmaking over input separation.

I love the game—I just want to spend my time playing it, not waiting for it.

  • Don't worry, in duos, I wait an average of 3 minutes for a match in the afternoon, 5-10 minutes in the morning/late evening, and at night.

I'm having a great time... I play on PC. :)

And I only play with the same people day after day. :)

    EU server.

  • Personally I'd rather wait three hours for a match than have to play in the PC pool, but to each their own.

    Okay, that's a lie. I wouldn't wait three hours. I'd find a new game.

Okay, that's a lie. I'm too old for new games. I'd quit gaming altogether and start reading or listening to more music. Or working on my own cars. Or volunteering at meals-on-wheels. Or having my teeth pulled. Anything besides having to play in the PC pool. I almost typed "poo" by mistake. But was it???
