Controllers aren't as easy as people make out, I've had numerous friends try controller for weeks and they hate it and get destroyed and revert back to M&K. I have other friends who have been controller players since forever and are good at the game but when they play with a PC player in PC lobbies they get destroyed in nearly every fight and can't do anything 😅.
I'll respect your opinion and others but it's the scripts and modded controllers that are destroying the game, not the average controller player. We have to suffer modded controller abuse aswell and we also have to suffer the hackers that come with playing PC lobbies. If they made modded controllers bannable we would have way less people complaining about controllers for sure but they're hard to detect so can't see this happening.
The average PC and Console players don't really care about fighting each other until they come across the people using the hacks and modded controllers, that's when they tend to complain and that's understandable.

Yeah I know that I purposely phrased my post a bit cheeky to just poke and trigger controllers hehe. I totally agree that "the average controller player" isnt a problem. I have never cared about aim assist for "casual" players, like "diamond level" and below, which I consider still to be casual. The "unfairness" with AA is mostly an issue at the highest level, like predator lobbies and ALGS.My point was just that I think its funny that Respawn nerfed Bangalore for NO OTHER REASON than her strength vs controllers in ALGS. Bangalore had like 75% pickrate at ALGS championship and there is not a single person who denies that the reason for this is only to counter controller aim assist. She would have had 0 % pickrate if AA wasnt disabled in the smoke. So I just think its funny how they nerfed Bangalore just for this reason. I mean the nerf IS a direct response to the fact that her smoke counters AA and not because Bangalore is OP. It shows how much Respawn prioritize controllers (not talking about PC vs console but M+K vs Controller only)

We need one of the following:
1) Option to opt out of cross play
2) AA to be disabled while in PC lobbies
3) Strikepacks, xim, cronus, etc. actually getting detected and it becomes a bannable offense
All of my provision matches had "rollers" abusing the AA by using strikepacks and other gimmicks, and honestly it shouldn't be allowed at all. Fortnite and other games already made these kinds of changes, and they even ban these kinds of players. Respawn also "updated" the anti-cheat, but I still see a lot of PC players cheating, so as far as I'm aware of, the change was either nothing or not much.- Balladalidila2 years agoSeasoned Ace
What I wanna know is how separating controller and M+K in pro competition would affect the game. What would the majority of the pros say? I honestly think that many players, who really are a M+K player but strategically switched to controller because of AAs OPness like Imperialhall, would choose to play in the M+K competition branch and the controller branch would be viewed as competitively inferior which would make even more switch to M+K. I know that the US has a stronger controller tradition than the rest of the world but IMO, M+K is objectively viewed as the most serious way to compete in FPS on PC. The biggest FPS games throughout pro gaming history has been on M+K, like Doom, Quake, Quake3, Unreal, CS, CSGO, Overwatch, Valorant etc etc
And how would it affect the causal scene? I definitely think that M+K players have enough players to support ranked lobbies and if they update console to a higher FPS, then I see no unfairness in cross playing PC controllers with console controllers.
