Ring too powerful and fast

disparity in damage received by the zone between players. For some unknown reason with the last couple of updates I've noticed severe differences in who takes what damage from the zone. For example, the last game I played, one teammate and myself were destroyed by the zone, while the other teammate seemingly took almost no damage. This is also the case when spectating. It shows in the recap the "ring" did 10 damage per tick, however, in game the experience is more like 50 damage per tick. Please fix this; the game is extremely unenjoyable at the moment. I want to loot and fight, not constantly be forced to run from the 50 damage per tick zone. The zones are also entirely too fast in the latest updates; unless Respawn plans on making every character as fast as Octane this needs to be slowed way down. The devs are destroying the game with tweaks like this; players are now more prone to just landing center circle and ratting up for 15 minutes.

  • @Nihedeberu The ring is there to force people into safe zones and the high damage to disable people from outhealing the zone.

    This being said...

    I'm not a fan of the implementation of it. I don't think anyone wants to play "outrun the ring", but that is what happens. The ring becomes a greater enemy than players and you end up having less fights, not more. The whole thing becoming counter productive to intended gameplay.

    It certainly encourages you to drop toward the center and avoid the edges.

    On Storm Point, if I drop toward the edge, I plan a contingency of being near a trident should the first ring be far away.

    I miss Storm Point.
