SBMM IS FUNDAMENTALLY FLAWED

Because its a BR and not a 1v1 or 5v5 with one winner and won loser. The SBMM must be "wide" to make sense. Imao, the perfect sbmm for a BR  would be NO sbmm at all, but just a totally random matchmaking that puts the last 60 who press "Ready" in the same lobby. Such matchmaking would make the skill level of an average match similar to the player skill distribution, which most likley is normal distribution with a quite low standard deviation around the mean skill level. Such matchmaking would allow bad-to-average players enough breathing room to improve, and would not punish you for having spend time and effort to become good at this game.

The biggest problem of this game when it comes to "unfair" matchmaking is the amount of smurfs that are playing above their skill level in ranked. If they make it harder for smurfs and also allow demotion between full divisions, then ranked could be the game mode for those who want to compete against similary skilled players.

@pandemicrawI think part of it is regional, I have 6,243 total kills but my highest is like 761 on Octane, I’ve had 330 total wins but 74 were this season, and alittle under 2 mil total damage

Anyways not trying to show off stats but just give you a view point, I rarely ever see lobbies with those players for whatever reason. Most of my lobbies consist of players level 1-500 but the average is probally level 150-250, theres good mixture of players with more kills than me but for the most part they have the same badges as me except for the occasional player with 3k badges

Pretty much my lobbies consist of players with kill leader apex predator badge, the sword badge with 2-4 swords, rapid elimination, double duty, hot streak( crow), and triple triple (I have all of these badges on atleast 1 or more legends so I wouldn’t say that these lobbies that Im currently in are out of my skill level because overall the lobbies feel right to me sometimes im the kill leader ad win the game and othertimes im getting sent back to the lobby over and over XD

Whenever I do get lucky and hit a 2-2500 damage game thats whenever I get put into those higher tier lobbies where I ended up getting killed by the same bald wraith with 15k kills 3 different times in 5 games XD, other than that I’ve only been put into those lobbies occasionally during events like during the Shadowfall event of this year I had Backoffmyjankz and CrazyRachet on my team and I was so  shocked lol I watch Jankz,kobi, staycation, soofar, and them almost everyday
