[Season 6] Crypto Feedback
The recent update to crypto has killed any chance of crypto becoming a good legend.
Crypto’s emp, by far the greatest thing about him, cannot be used for offensive or defensive maneuvers anymore...

@Rayhotep Yup, the change literally butcher it. They change it that way to stop the Crypto, Revenant & Wraith combination. But the issues with the combination is Revenant totem, not Crypto EMP.

- @DrSeptimus I really enjoyed using his emp while my teammates were trying to 2v3. This would give them a great advantage and I would be able to rush after the emp. It was a great push and I won lots of fights because of it. Now it slows down teammate just like before making the emp useless except from far away, but the problem with that is they are able to heal back up before my team even gets near them. I main crypto and I have no clue use this “new” emp correctly.
@BBY_YOD4The current EMP requires very high learning curve to use and a ridiculous condition to fulfilled after the armour nerf.
You basically need evo shield level 5 and shield battery. When your armour dipped below 50%, just activate EMP and immediately pop the shield battery. The armour lost from EMP not going to change anything since it would be fully recover by shield battery by the end of it.
If enemy going within the EMP range to chase you, they would be slow down and have 50% of their armour chunk off. By the time the EMP effect worn off and shield battery is used, you would have full shield against their 50% shield.
Easier said than done.
Yes they did it to counter the wraith, revenant, crypto push. I do not like their logic. The whole purpose of having legends with abilities is for them to work together to beat other teams. Legends/teams who mesh should not be punished but encouraged. The push is not hard to overcome. The legends are like Rock Paper Scissors. If you have a caustic the totem is fairly easy to over come. Some may point out that the emp destroys caustic traps. First off, the caucus has his ultimate. Second, a smart caustic/Watson will not lay down their traps if they hear a crypto drone. However, if this does not work they have and time to pull up and throw the traps prior to the emp blast (Especially now). Like it was mentioned the emp is not the problem.
