no one is talking about aimbot ... also a tactic to divert ...
But there is situation where the assist clearly has an edge over non assisted inputs.
especially in close fights with a lot of visual clutter, the aim assist will keep you around the target due to the slowdown where as a mouse user has a hard time tracking bcs he simply cannot see the opponent with all the sprites flying around. HAL often complaint about the visual clutter, and i guess this is the reason why he switched to controller.

@AcidicSoda44031yea , those misconceptions of both sides just destroy the discussion about it. one has to dig deep into the topic to actually make educated statements, most people dont ... but parrot stuff they heard or saw on YT. thats also part of the reason why the fronts are hardened.
I just want Controller players to acknowledge that there is n edge to the aimassist, even if they cant make use of it ... pros def do as we see by a lot of them switching to controller. They would not give up the movement advantage if the assist wouldnt be that deciding in certain situations.
It also strongly depends on the way you play, ALGS matches often end in a cluster ph**k where you could profit off the assist, pubs and rank matches likely not.
