I whole heartedly disagree with you, I think the legends have the advantage EASILY.
First off, I agree the dropship location is a huge factor, but I disagree it's about the distance needed to travel as much as it is the location. Spots near building are easy for legends to win. That being said, you need to pick certain legends to have that advantage. Wattson and Pathfinder are both a little broken for their different reasons. Wattson can EASILY camp inside a building against a whole horde of shadows in a building right outside the dropship; she's safe and invincible inside while people sitting in the dropship are invincible covering the outside of the building until it's clear for her to come out. Pathfinder can out maneuver them, and can EASILY jump over 15 shadows camping the drop ship. Ive also been in situations where the shadows simply cannot get to the same spot pathfinder is at, making it impossible to kill him until he comes down. Personally, I find octane fairs quite well for similar reason as pathfinders, his ult can help him jump over the hoard at the end and his stems definitely helps against the shadows even if the shadows are still a bit faster.
Not to mention peopel are always quitting as soon as they die, so shadows can often be at a disadvantage to that alone. And in my experience that happens more often than not. (They need to do something about the quitters, but that's for another thread).
From my time playing on Xbox, the legends have won about 90% of the games. I played for a few hours, and I recall the shadows winning 3 times in total.
If you're not using the right champions or exploits then I could imagine your point of view. Sheesh, I can only imagine trying to play this gamemode with someone like bangalore lol.
