@Cyturion How does this help anything? If there are few healing items and I gain more rank from placing high rather than killing then I'm just going to hide with a charge rifle. If I finish a squad but don't have any healing items then I'll once again hide. Also whenever we kill a squad they're always loaded with the healing items that they never got to use which is why I run into the next fight with 20 heals that I won't need.
This suggestion doesn't make the game any more competitive just different. Turns it more towards a slow paced campfest with one sided fights that favor the players that shot first.
Changing the rank rewards to favor kills rather than placement will encourage players to seek out fights more if you're concerned about that.
Fewer heals would also screw with legend balance, as we saw in the armed and dangerous event.
