Sound Direction (Footsteps & Gunshots)

In the next coming updates for Apex Legends I believe the developers should pay more attention to the audio portion of the game. When it comes to footsteps and gunshots it is more diffucult to actually pinpoint whether if it’s coming from my right , my left , above me , or below me and I’m using Turtle Beach headsets. I think it would be nice if we can hear the directions of shots and footsteps better and distinguish whether they’re walking on wood (like in a building) , grass or sand (like outside) or concrete along with the direction , all of these would just make the audio portion of the game perfect.

This is a strange occurrence. My buddy and I both use the same Turrle Beach headsets and he has the same issue while I find the directional audio cues to be extraordinarily accurate.

I never really had other problems in any other games like when I USED TO play Fortnite for example

  • I only have a problem telling vertical direction. If I'm in a house and I hear footsteps, it seems impossible to say if it's in the same floor or the floor above/below me.

I had this lastnight. I could hear what side the player was on but couldn't make out which level.

This is not always the case though. Sometimes I can pinpoint footsteps easily and other times it causes more confusion than it does help.

I also had a guy run up behind me with zero footstep sound. This is only on the very odd occasion though.

I thought it was just me. Glad someone else as had this issue.
