Just happened again. Followed a Crypto through a building and sprayed him with a whole level 3 clip in the back and he just ran out the door.
Spitfire needs a barrel mod, plus it is bad at leg damage unless you shooting a Low Profile Legend.
Clip Size won't win you a fight either but it's a great weapon to hip fire it the enemy is too close. Even better if you are crouch spamming and shooting at the same time.
- @PatrickWSwayze Well, how much damage did you do?
It doesn’t matter how big your mag is if you don’t hit the enemies, unfortunately. Yeah it has amazing hip fire but horrible dps, if your using it close range, a prowler and R-99 will slide in your dm’s like no ones buisness. It shoots 512 rpm, so it shouldn’t be used at close range. It should just be used as a mid ranged gun and give it a good recoil decrease to make it beam people at those ranges
The advantage with the Spitfire isn't its DPS but it's mag size. It really shines if you can force an enemy to reload while you've only used half of your mag. Or when your firing at a running enemy at mid/long range, missing some shots isn't as taxing when you've got a drum mag. And you've got plenty of bullets to share between two or more targets.
I'll usually run the spitfire when I'm playing Revenant, crouch walk hip-firing someone at close range works wonders.
I happily carry a spitty into the final ring. It’s an absolute monster in terms of Damage over time and it’s mid range threat applies solid pressure to enemy teams. I will admit, I usually prefer a flatline-R99 combo, but as of late the spitfire is working wonders for me. 55 rounds of pure pressure. Downing one or even 2 members right before a push is so essential, and the spitty does this at range.
i wouldn’t rule the spitty out at all, just use it wisely.
