Do you see how it would be impossible to determine a smurf from someone genuine?
Also, the biggest smurf accounts on the game come from the big guys, the streamers, the content creators. Soar_Kobi has been doing solo queue to predator challenges on several new smurf accounts lately. Respawn would have to ban all of these guys too.
I do understand your frustration, I'm far too familiar with getting into games with people 10x better than me. SBMM is the cause here, and increased smurfing is the effect.

@VoKks9 If someone usually plays on console, but has to make a new account to play on pc like zeus did to be elligible to participate in the competitions Im fine with that and don’t really consider that smurfing because crossplay isnt available yet, I havnt watched any of SoarKobi’s videos in a few weeks so i would have to watch them to understand what your saying the last video I remember watching was him talking about how rude he was back in Season 1 lol and laughing at how he was playing
- @FaIIenAngeI777 To be honest, there probably isn't one pro/content creator out there who hasn't made a smurf account. Dizzy openly admitted on stream he was playing on a smurf account in the ranked mode because the queue times in predator were too long. Staycation said in one of his recent videos that ''SBMM makes it much more difficult to create content''. All these top players are smurfing all the time to create content for their viewers and Respawn is fine with it. If they implemented a ban on smurf accounts it not only affects the people who genuinely need more than one account on the same pc but most likely they ban the majority of their competitive scene.
If respawn allow the top players to make a smurf and destroy players in a bronze lobby. Then that says it all, unfortunately, as long as you continue to play Apex, you're always going to run into smurfs.
I'll have a look at that video you mentioned, sounds funny 😃 I've only been watching him a few weeks.- @VoKks9 I remember staycation saying that but he dosn’t really smurf, atleast for his videos i watch him everyday staycations my go to man for apex videos he usually plays with megalo or cheddar, he did make a smurf account for a video one day though to prove SBMM was a real thing, literally everybody had a purple body shield lmao and he ended the match barely over 4k damage and even got a 20 kill badge on his first match as pathfinder
I dont remember the name of soarkobis Video I just know it was back in kings canyon I think he was making fun of a bloodhound that was upset that he was going so fast and wouldnt let him catch up if that helps at all probally not lol- @FaIIenAngeI777 Hmm sounds familiar actually, I know I've seen a video where him and another guy are shredding through the lobby and the random is complaining because he can't keep up xD
