Teammates unhelpful in high tier lobby plat and up

So let me explain. I'm in plat 1 about to reach diamond, team lands monument a hot drop, and we get immediately pushed, I knock a whole squad solo and then get third partied knock two damage one he's two shot with any gun, you know where my teammates are?... You'll never guess... In a corner waiting to hit top 5, they have the audacity to call me trash... Bro this has got to end

My solution: in order to even get the +150rp for winning a game you should have to get x amount of kills in your rank

Bronze: 3 kills easy enough for anyone who has skill

Silver: 4 kills again very easy 

Gold: 6 kills ooo a little tough but can be done

Plat: 6 kills still tough better plays blah blah

Masters: 4 kills 

Pred: this can stay the same honestly it's pretty good

You might ask oh why a drop when you hit masters?Because now you're in a higher tier you've separated the mice from the men, now it's time to play! It re-add's back that strategy instead of hunting for kills to get your #1 rewards, you can play more for zone and positioning which is going to be huge in these high tier lobbies!

The people who want to rat CANT rat because of the needed kills making them get stuck in a rank that they actually deserve, making teamwork more of an actual functioning system in the game instead of a suggestion!

Having randoms running away and not support the team with their abilities in a fight has got to stop! Not saying don't run when your getting it handed to you but actually try and help in the fight! If two perfectly healthy teammates run away from a fight that was more than winnable we got a problem! Especially in plat lobbies, that's some bronze rookie crap right there!

This has been the theme for randoms this season and the drop ship thing isn't the fix we need! I want it to be an actual feat when I get the rank I get, for it to not even be a question how I got that rank! What I mean is I question some of these triple masters, I know when I see a master run and go to a corner he ratted for every rank ever, not a single rank was earned just sat in a corner and played hide and seek horror game... Naw dude kill that stuff! Also to make it more worth getting those kills to hit that #1 reward I think it should be increased to +200rp

  • I know what you're saying. And I get the frustration. But I feel like your solution is just as bad in its way as the fixed drops. It's an attempt to force players into one particular method of play in a game that is complex enough to allow for a wide range of approaches. I hate to say it but what we need is either play style-based matchmaking, or separate rank ladders for solo queue players and stacks, or ranked deathmatch. Or possibly all three.

    But in the battle royale game type there is room for being methodical, holding back, waiting and watching, biding your time. It's okay if you're not that player. If you have the mechanical skills to just run and gun until you hit master. But there are players who play very circumspectly and some of them are not doing it that way just because they think they'll get higher on the ladder that way. It's just how they play.

    One point of curiosity: You said, "team lands monument," but you didn't say whether one of them was jump master, or if YOU were jump master. Because in the scenario you described I might be harder on the "ratters" if one of them was jump master. If, on the other hand, it was you that chose a **bleep** drop, leaving your squadmates limited options to avoid early death and rp loss, then that's kinda on you. Count yourself lucky they didn't break off and drop somewhere else?
