Teammates your skill level
I play this game 24/7 after work. I play a lot of ranked but it doesn’t matter how good I am. My teammates sucks, they clearly aren’t their rank. Can we fix the system so good ppl get good players as...
These are just speculations based on a rumor that Apex is using a type of matchmaking algorithm that EA has developed called EOMM. But if people spent just 5 minutes to educate themselves rather than believing in every thing they hear, they would understand that EOMM is literally 0% applicable to a game like Apex. EOMM is developed for games like FIFA, MADDEN, NHL etc but the parameters that the entire algoritm is based on just doesn't apply to Apex.
I think its so silly to believe that the matchmaking is hard wired to to make you win some and lose some. Its so easy to debunk such thought. First of all, think of the player base and how skill is distributed, i.e normal distributed, probably with a quite low mean. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the mean is around the player that goes 1 k/d in silver lobbies. Now just think logically and you will realize that there is not possible to design a matchmaking that would manipulate the skill level of any given players opponent so that he would "win some and lose some". To achieve that, you would need a infinite large player base queuing at all times of infinitely varying skill. And we all know from experience that the matchmaking is super quick for players of all skills so only that fact is a second argument that debunks any form of hard rigged matchmaking based on skill.
Also, if the matchmaking is hard rigged, then how can different players have such varying KD and win rate?
I personally think the matchmaking is rather random. I think its tries to prioritize premade trios in the same lobbies but with many exceptions. I believe this because I think the lobbies feel considerably sweatier whenever I play full 3man, compared to solo. But other than that, I think your performance just comes down to where you sit skill wise compared to the player base. If you are below average you will have below average matches and if you are above average, you will have more good matches than bad etc

Ive got 1300 hours in this game and when I saw that post what kind of MM it actually is, everything made sense.
Its meant to make you chase dragons, you would get bored if you won every match and you would also get annoyed when you lost all and you need to apply that for new players too so they get carried +now this points for not even assisting kill, yeah this makes perfect sense if you think about it.
But this MM really doesnt matter anymore because ranked is absolute mess since S13 anyway. :D
