The mislead by Drew McCoy

PLEASE NOTE: I'm not trying to offend or speak badly of anyone or start some sort of revolution. This is only one players opinion on the matter that I feel we should all discuss and pass on because it is unacceptable that a company that is there thanks to US! gets away with something as shady as this.

But it really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone considering that season 2 is still very heavy monetise. But I had hope for what could come next.....

Drew McCoy, please tell me how is this suppose fixes the problem?

In your previous statement you mentioned and I quote " At launch we made a promise to players that we intend to do monetization in a way that felt fair and provided choice to players on how they spent their money and time"

Well that's surprising.... I don't believe I ever heard or read anything regarding monetization because the game just lunch......
Yes a lot of us knew that monitazation will be a thing because it's EA. But you've just made something up.. which technically makes you a liar.

But it all don't stop there does it Drew.... I quote

So today's conversations is what exactly? cause it seems to me that the only real conversation this community is having (which also happens to be same community keeping your game alive in case you've forgotten) is regarding the absurd move you and your team let EA make... Yes they own you, making you their.... but be smart.. and perhaps don't try to sugar coat what's clearly an statement made target people with, addiction problems, gambling problems, younger audiences who have no concept of money and the rest of the community. I mean how thick are you? did you wrote this for kids in primary school?

Surely not, I mean..... I quote

" With the Iron Crown event we missed the mark when we broke our promise by making Apex Packs the only way to get what many consider to be the coolest skins we’ve released"

You missed the mark!? But how could you missed the mark!? specially if you're target audience is little Jeffrey who's stealing, oh wait sorry, like my good old friend kerry hopkins would say "surprisingly borrowing mechanic" from mun and dad to get an in-game not real world item which cost £30

So let me ask you Drew did you really missed the mark...?

Because apparently, I quote...

You will still be able to purchase Iron Crown Apex Packs for 700 Apex Coins if you choose. The store schedule for the week will be as follows....."

"For future collection events, we will provide more ways to obtain items than just buying Apex Packs" (what like the LEGEND TOKENS) 

So Drew tell me, how is it that you missed the mark.... It seems to me that there never was a mark and all these sugar words in this statement are just nonsense and just another way of saying "we're sorry, but can we get more money out of you guys cause we just can't get enough"

And even on this quote here...

" Our goal has not been to squeeze every last dime out of our players, and we have structured the game so that all players benefit from those who choose to spend money - events like Legendary Hunt or Iron Crown exist so that we can continue to invest in creating more free content for all players"

How is the Iron crown a free content when we gotta pay over £100 to acquire part of the content?
Or any of the past events?

Although I have heard that the Legendary hunt was a step in the right direction, but I'll retract that credit because you missed the mark.

A good example of free content please check out Warframe or No Man Sky, if you haven't Drew. You might be surprise to see how free content works.

Anyway, I don't mean to be rude or harsh in this comment, it's just that I don't get how something like this happens and how there's people like Drew who clearly has no idea how to deal with a problem, get to write and post this onto the community forum. I mean if I wanted to get forked, I'd pay £30 at the red light district in Amsterdam.

My point is that we shouldn't let this happen because we enjoy something, because it is our duty as people and as a community to not let things like this happen to us, for new comers and for everyone else in the gaming world.

First of all I'm sorry I picked on you Drew but well, you sort of asked for it mate.

And secondly, please keep in mind and remember that this probably isn't a decision made by Respawn, as they've done a fantastic job with the game! but instead it's E forking A, the scummiest company in the world of video games, still the worst company in the US and quite frankly just bananas.
