Basic awareness of your environment and spacial relation to the ring and timer prevents this from happening.

@DarthVaapar
Yeah, I killed a squad the other day in the tunnel to train-yard area.
The last ring landed on the trainyard.
I saw two teams fighting outside the tunnel to the train yard. so me and my squad camped the fork to the tunnel.
I took one side of the fork to the tunnel, and my squad took the other.
We killed everyone running in from the storm to get into the train-yard.
It was funny easy kills.
It was like shooting fish in a barrel.
Then we killed the last squad that decided to camp the trainyard.
I used my Bangalore's smoke to exit the tunnel to trainyard.
Then we wiped the floor with that last squad.
We won that game. gg- 7 years ago@hhnbbfggty66 It’s a battle arena with a contracting ring. What you describe ie excellent gameplay. Very nice.

if suddenly this game became about map awareness they would have removed every door that is so clearly placed just to allow you to walk in any direction without knowing the design of every corner, if anything this game was about rememering that the circle was closing soon, not about checking if you can access a 20 meters tall wall in the next two iterations of circle closing just because you couldnt revive your pathfinder or maybe he happened to use her ult in order to win a FIGHT, and what im describing is exactly what happened to me, a team with about 25 kills lost without having the chance to exchange bullets
- 7 years ago@ChocotrocoCL No games are suddenly about map awareness - all games are already about map awareness, lol. It's an utterly essential skill for all games that have a map.
- 7 years ago@Anlbrd Nope, this game has escape paths in every general direction except for some tunnels and huge terrain walls which are clearly an accidental feature and imposibly a design element, also, if the developers intended to have any sort of terrain or map awareness other than the timer for the circle they would NOT make the AI tell you when theres other squad coming into the fights, thats exactly against any bit of map awareness, so you are clearly and deeply wrong

It’s a survival battle arena with a contracting ring. Sometimes it’s better to reposition than to push to get more kills.
Said team with 25 kills did have a chance, but if they got caught by the ring, then at some point along the way they made the wrong choice.

Border cases arent design features, and being able to play around them would imply that pathfinder is a mandatory pick in order to know what is the next circle closing area
If what you pretend to be a wrong choice was actually an intended consequence of a gameplay condition, then scanning antennas would be a general skill and not just a pathfinder skill, also they would remove at least half of the ziplines and just made terrain unpasable because "you are supossed to get in there instead of fighting"
Again this proves that you dont understand nor even intend to look at this game´s design but you are talking from pure whim, its at this game´s core design the fact that you dont need to know much of the map to move around.
Also, you keep commenting about an example that has nothing to do with im describing, thus you are derailing my opening post and commenting off topic, im talking about a situation where team A is inside of the circle and team B cant get across the terrain in order to enter the living zone of the circle, in this case pathfinder is mandatory either if you want to prevent it or to solve it, so please refer to the case im speaking about or do me the favor of getting off, thanks.
