@ChocotrocoCL wrote:if suddenly this game became about map awareness they would have removed every door that is so clearly placed just to allow you to walk in any direction without knowing the design of every corner, if anything this game was about rememering that the circle was closing soon, not about checking if you can access a 20 meters tall wall in the next two iterations of circle closing just because you couldnt revive your pathfinder or maybe he happened to use her ult in order to win a FIGHT, and what im describing is exactly what happened to me, a team with about 25 kills lost without having the chance to exchange bullets
It’s a survival battle arena with a contracting ring. Sometimes it’s better to reposition than to push to get more kills.
Said team with 25 kills did have a chance, but if they got caught by the ring, then at some point along the way they made the wrong choice.
Border cases arent design features, and being able to play around them would imply that pathfinder is a mandatory pick in order to know what is the next circle closing area
If what you pretend to be a wrong choice was actually an intended consequence of a gameplay condition, then scanning antennas would be a general skill and not just a pathfinder skill, also they would remove at least half of the ziplines and just made terrain unpasable because "you are supossed to get in there instead of fighting"
Again this proves that you dont understand nor even intend to look at this game´s design but you are talking from pure whim, its at this game´s core design the fact that you dont need to know much of the map to move around.
Also, you keep commenting about an example that has nothing to do with im describing, thus you are derailing my opening post and commenting off topic, im talking about a situation where team A is inside of the circle and team B cant get across the terrain in order to enter the living zone of the circle, in this case pathfinder is mandatory either if you want to prevent it or to solve it, so please refer to the case im speaking about or do me the favor of getting off, thanks.

The new map requires an adjustment to gameplay style. Some are finding it difficult to adapt. You don’t need Pathfinder to succeed. Come on...
Expressing a difference of opinion is not a derailment. Again, come on...

Sure you dont need pathfinder to succeed, the legend just has one of the highest pick/kill/win rates, but people arent picking pathfinder in 1/5 of the games just because it increases win rate.
This "exchange" of arguments has only pushed me deeper into the rabbit hole, the numbers clearly show that pathfinder is a mandatory pick.

Well, you certainly see a lot of Pathfinders every match. His tactical is very strong, no matter what the environment is.
