The apex ring is supposed to push teams closer together not eliminate full teams. The ring does way too much damage by round 3 and just kills teams instead of pushing them together. Please can we nerf the speed/damage of the ring so it can't be outhealed by ring 3.
If you die in ring 1 or 2... you are gifted :)
If you die in ring 3+ = you probably struggled in ring 1 and 2 and didn't get the message to get into freaking zone, so you pay the price.
For me actually the more annoying part is ring 5/6 where when you fight and accidentally step or slip into ring you take like 10-20 damage to health instantly which does play a role when there are numerous squads around shooting at eachother.
Still that is my bad if I slip so I accept the consequences. Dying in rings 1 / 2 / 3 is and always has been a skill issue.

Not sure how long you've been playing this game, but killing people who stay outside of it is EXACTLY what the ring is supposed to do.

Typical sign of a player that can't read the game and/or gets too greedy with fighting when zone is closing.
Zones and damages are imo the most balanced they ever were and finally "living in the zone" is basically not possible which should be the case vs always worrying that some crazy Plat player 3stack will be in the zone still 1 min after it closed and with a bit of luck will go behind you (not expecting that) and kill you for free.
Also now game has Axle that can rotate half of the map in notime... really not point arguing about the zones. If you die in zone you are just bad in above mentioned aspect of the game / your brain can't multitask, accounting for not just shooting what is infront of you but other aspects of the game - rotations, loot, other team rotations etc.
