Today's Patch made it damage drop shields. I'm going back to Crypto again for sure a bit. At least his EMP ain't worthless anymore.
I think his character still needs a slight buff. He's not bad, and I definitely enjoy playing with him but he could transcend into a higher tier character if he got a few upgrades.
-EMP should affect electronic-based sights. I.E Bruiser, holo, and red dots. This would give crypto's EMP more depth. Removing the main reticle from opponents sights for 3-5 seconds. This in conjunction with the stun would boost him weak EMP.
- Make Crypto immune to his EMP. This would help with more aggressive Cryptos who use the EMP as a pre-attack tactic. This way you're able to rush with your teammates instead of it being a 2v3 any other time you're utilizing crypto's skillset.
-Increase the detection range to 40 meters for crypto, but opponents only get notifications if the drone is within 30m. Afterall surveillance requires some form of stealth, it's impossible when they're notified immediately.
-Possible throwing concept similar to a grenade for the drone. The time it takes to get the drop out sometimes is a drag, being able to toss it a20-30 meters out and quickly adjust it could play a critical role in CQC. For instance, if I wanted to use the drone to watch certain zipline, or hallway while engaged in a firefight. Reducing the time of setting it up would delete one of Crypto's main drawbacks. While he excels in recon, he should be stronger in surveillance.
