I totally agree, Respawn should listen to the casuals. The game was 100% more enjoyable on launch then now, even with the cheaters and constant disconnects.
Respawn uses the influenerors from the EA game changer program, where they get to send feedback that does change the game. So if an influencer doesn't like X, they just report it back and say the majority don't like it. What Respawn doesn't understand is the majority is just influencers, not the entire community of Apex Legends.
That's why Apex Legends changed so drastically from launch. Respawn noticed that to get good and free marketing from streamers was to cater to them. You give them a little access to change the game how the streamers want it, you get free marketing by them playing it.
That's why Apex Legends started as a super casual, free-movement title and became a competitive mess. Streamers are not good game developers, they just have mass followers, and in doing so, they get power hungry. If they don't like something, they wish it away.
Most of the streamers nowadays just 3 stack camp in a building to pass time, Valkyrae ultimate to the next location and do it all over.
I honestly hope someone purchases EA just to revert Apex Legends back to the classic mode, it's what some people want. I just want to play. I don't have interest in ranked, nor have I ever.
Ranked in a RNG game doesn't make sense. If someone is good at RNG, it means you're just good at looting, not a skill when it's based on randomness.
Respawn will be forced to listen once COD Warzone 2 gets released. It will cut the population down in Apex legends up to 40% or higher and EA investors will want to know why.
