Tips for Vantage

Welcome to the forum.

I mained Octane for a good while but have been heavily playing Vantage the last few seasons.

She is a bit quirky and takes some getting used to.

One great thing about her is that ostensibly she has three weapons.

I like to play her quite aggressively. I usually kit her out with two SMG's or an SMG and an Assault rifle. This way she has either two quick CQC weapons and the sniper for poke damage or she has all three combat ranges covered. I found that playing her passively with an additional sniper weapon to be sub optimal and the aggressive play style is actually better with her. Which seems weird considering she is a sniper. 

Her sniper is great for poking/initial dmg and if you can knock down or crack an enemy you have the mobility to jump on them and use the CQC weapons to finish the job.

Her bat is great if you pre position it for either an escape route or for repositioning in a fight.

Spotters lens I tend to use without a weapon for scanning areas to either find targets or to scout an area before entering it.
