Tridents in Ranked

The problem, as I see it, with this mindset is that if you take it to the logical extreme then you could argue for the removal of anything in the game that isn't a test of mechanical skill. Why do we need a circle? A timer? A respawn mechanism? Survey beacons? Zip rails? Phase runners? Even loot? Just spawn in with a gun and start shooting until only one player is left standing. And what would that prove? Who has the best aimbot?

They can be annoying, but they do serve a purpose. I say keep 'em. It's not as if they're on every map, and it's not as if battle royale was ever about nothing more than aim. It's supposed to be a complex game type where shooting is important but not the entire game. Even in a ranked mode. Especially in a ranked mode, I'd say.

I agree to an extent but the Hp for it as well as having to target aim something going that fast? It’s imo a basic auto win and every third party especially since adding ram damage and being able to stack Caustic traps and I’m not sure if you can still do rampart walls. 

I don't remember which season it was - two or three ago now - but at some point they slowed it down significantly and changed it so that damage accrues to the vehicle and not just to the people in it. I would have thought that was an attempt to address exactly what you're talking about. And I'd rather see them nerf it again than remove it altogether. Again, imo.
