Nah. She's a recon. That's the only way I use her. I don't use her for mobility much. Carry a balloon on her and every enemy in 300 meters is yours to track. Same with Ult. She's recon. She's the eyes in the skies. She does a better job than Crypto. Give her accelerants and you'll never lose track of the enemies. Jetpack just helps get on top of buildings quicker, not very beneficial.
And your hitbox size is effectively doubled when jetpacking, so no it's not beneficial. Can't tell you how many times I've died trying to do jetpack maneuvers, when in similar scenarios on toons like Mad Maggie I can escape it, no ults.

I too think it's fair to say that Valkyrie is a recon, but I disagree that you can't get away with Valkyrie in a situation like Mad Maggie's, where you can get away with it.
This is because Valkyrie's role and usage is fundamentally different from that of Mad McGee and other characters who can pull up the front line and retreat to their allies.
To begin with, Valkyrie is not a character that shoots at the very front like Mad McGee and others, but a legend that shines brightest when used in conjunction with allies to increase the line of fire not only horizontally but also vertically to destroy blind spots.
I think the fact that they get shot down and die over and over is due to the Valkyrie not being used very correctly.
Anyway, I think the current situation of Valkyrie being a recon character who can also move is appropriate.
