Wattson Main Buff Suggestions For Season 5
I've always main Wattson ever since her release during Season 2 and continued to use her all the way throughout. I always waited patiently waiting for Wattson to get balanced but it never happened other than her ult changes which were good. Still, Wattson has issues and the Low Profile nonsense on her needs to be removed on top of it.
Low Profile
- Removed Low Profile - Wattson reason of getting Low Profile never made sense. Being Hard to get too is not a reasoning nor is the Pro Scene/Scrims. Wattson is actually ease to aim at and shoot.
Perimeter Security
- Reduce Cooldown from 30 seconds to 25 seconds. It takes too long for her to get her fences unless she is nearby her ult. Caustic had this issue when he was at 30 seconds and was buffed to 25 seconds. Became much better. Wattson should also be a 25 second cooldown trap legend. This will also make her place more fences when she is running away or fighting. Lets be real, you never see a Wattson using her abilities unless she is by her ult in a building.
- Increase the Node Health from 25 to 50. For those that don't know, Wattson's Nodes each have 25 Health to destroy. This means 1 R-99 and 1 R-301 bullet combined will destroy it perfectly. (11+14=25). 25 Health is so low and that is why it gets destroyed super fast. People can even melee her nodes to destroy them. That is terrible, you wouldn't punch a Caustic Trap because you cannot. Wattson's nodes at 50 HP would at least take a few more bullets to destroy it, 50 would take 2 wingman, 4 R-301, and 5 R-99 shots to destroy it for example.
- Increase the fences damage from 10 to 15. You should be punished for walking into Wattson's fences without a care in the world. 15 damage would at least make people thing twice and consider shooting the nodes.
- Slightly increase to deploy node speed. What I mean is when I try to fence in a fight or fence a door. I'm caught waving at an enemy. If you're a Wattson main, you know what I mean. We all died many times because we're waving at the guy who's about to shoot us for free.
Spark of Genius
- Make Wattson immune to other Wattson Fences. It's lowkey silly that Wattson gets damaged by other Wattson fences when she talks about being electrically charged and ready.
- Wattson's revive now gives the revived teammate 25 shield health. Wattson is played as a support Legend despite being labeled as a Defense. Even Gibby is a support Legend which is fine, but Wattson should be healing shield health with her revives. I have over 900+ revives on my Wattson which is huge.
- While not taking damage, Wattson automatically restores 1 shield over time every 2 seconds. Her ultimate (Pylon) is always on her back. Most of us Wattson mains really love Wattson because she a shield health healing Legend. This being her passive would help her out greatly.
Interception Pylon
- Wattson's ultimate is currently fine. The only change I recommend is making it easier to see the inner and outer circles of the Pylon. Sometimes it's impossible to see it and teammates, including the Wattson player be in the outer ring and when we throw nades. It eats our own nade and abilities. The ring should allows be showing or something much like Revenant's Death Totem is easy to see where the ring ends for his ult. Wattson's ult Rings Fade away which is the problem.
- Teammates shouldn't be allowed to destroy their teammate's Wattson Pylon. Only the Wattson can destroy (shoot) her own ultimate. This is a problem where some randoms actually destroy their own teammate's ult for no reason at all (they stupid). Teammates cannot destroy a friendly fence, so they shouldn't be able to shoot her ultimate. Wattson's ultimate will be placed in a safe reasonable place and not a troll location (caustic blocking a door with canister). Probably something that won't happen but it a quality of life change.
Bug Fixes for Pylon
- Friendly Caustic Nox Gas Traps (and on rare occasions Bangalore's Smoke Launcher) can stop Pylon's shield regenerating effects from working. Once the gas starts to clear away, Pylon's regeneration effect starts working again. Do keep in mind that the Pylon will still shoot down incoming ordnance, but won't repair damaged shields as long as the gas or smoke is still there.
