No one here knows.
And no EA/respawn person will tell You, because they also don't know.
No one knows why certain words are censored.
Example from chat:
blm - not censored.
wlm - censored.
Why? What do these abbreviations mean? You can only guess, untill You ask the person who wrote it - You won't know.
But people censoring word claim that they know and these always mean ONE certain thing.

- @EA_Pulsar I think they're saying that they cannot change their username to contain the word in question.
Also @ping_1100_is_bad the word itself doesn't seem to be bad, (when looking it up, I mainly got "a mixed of ingredients"), however I checked if it contained a phrase that would be censored, and it does appear to be the case.
Basically, if the word was "Strawberry" and "aw" was censored, it wouldn't allow you to use the full word. That being said, I don't think EA would ever allow your username to be acceptable, but like what @EA_Pulsar had said, contact the TOS team.
