Whisper system

Far too often when I'm playing Apex, I want to play with one of my friends, but they're already in a game, and oftentimes I have to wait for them to finish their game in order to see if they want to play or not.  If not, I have just wasted 10-15 minutes of my time.  Being able to easily whisper somebody to quickly ask them if they want to play or not makes it so that you don't need to waste your time if they don't want to play.  Of course, there are other uses to a whisper system but I think this is the biggest benefit, adding it in Season 8 would be very good for the health of the game.

  • @jnub64I mean you can message them via Steam/Origin and through dms on console as well. I'm not sure how you'd like it to work though. Did you have an idea that's different from the current system?

@Tuesday_713  When you add someone on Steam in game, as far as I can tell they are only added to your EA friend's list, not your Steam friend's list, and I really don't like using Origin, I think it's a clunky program.  The in game whisper system would be very simple though: You go to your friend's list, you hover over a friend's name, and there's an option to whisper them.  If used, you can send messages to them in text chat, while swapping between all chat and your whisper recipient by pressing Tab.  Other games have already implemented this exact system.

  • @jnub64 Oh you're right. I agree with you. However, I'd like to add something, since I see how this could be a problem. In case a person is constantly under fire maybe a prompt button "y/n" for playing another game instead of an actual message, because stopping to reply could lead to annoying "sitting duck getting caught of guard" situations.
