Why am i getting an abandon penalty when it's the game crashing
First game on, game lagged out and everything froze. The game kicks me out to the menu so I click a and load up into the lobby. It should've put me in the game like it usually does but it didn't. So I loaded up another game, died of the rip, and got an abandon penalty? Why should I get a penalty when it's your game that sucks? I think yall need to fix this cause this is rediculous. It happens to my teammates all the time. At least once a week to each and its very irritating to get on and have to wait 10 minutes cause your game is trash and crashes all the time. Maybe it was a hacker. Idk what it was but something needs done about this issue.

Sorry to hear you've been having these issues when you're just trying to play.
A reason you'd still see the penalty even in the case of a disconnection rather than directly leaving the game is because that's still a situation that causes your team to be placed at a disadvantage, whether intended or not.
If this is something that's happening regularly, we'd want to instead go through some troubleshooting steps to try and keep this from happening in the future so it's not disruptive to the game for you or others. Running into constant game crashes on a weekly or more frequent basis is definitely not the typical behavior so we'd want to look into this as a technical issue if so.
