Why am i good in Arena and bad in BR Mode?

I don’t get it. I play with a premade squad and we are good in Arena, most of the time even  destroying Teams with higher lvl Players, sometimes even lvl 500 pred Players (we are only around lvl 70-90 and Season 9 is our first Season). But as soon as we join a BR Match we get destroyed in a heartbeat, sometimes dont even knowing what hit us…and we cant hit anything like our Aim is completely different in both modes…

  • @Inaktus I think its just the gameplay style. In arenas, its a 3v3, and you only have one team to worry about, and a small place to be in. In battle royal, you have more than one enemy team that can be anywhere. Your "game awareness" isn't quite strong in battle royal but is in arenas, and thats primarily due to the map size. On arenas, you can hear just about anything if you listen and can predict enemy movements and attacks, while the battle royal map is so large, its not as easy. As for the aim, maybe you're more stressed or not as focused as you are in arenas.

At least, that's my understanding after playing both modes for a while now.
  • @Inaktus The thing you have with Arena and Battle Royale, I have with the Battle Royale's no-fill mode. Played a couple matches with randoms today and won 3 times in a row with an average of ~1600 damage and ~8 kills, basically the best I've ever done in a long time. I go in no-fill and suddenly enemies have aimbot, my shots just don't hit, my wingman just did nothing at all and yeah... I don't know, something is either wrong with the matchmaking or I'm just getting a buff when I finally decide to play with teams so the game can be like "Cmon, go back to team play. People have surely improved!"

I faced the same problem, the same actions in both modes give completely different results. I will assume that the problem is in the servers and engine overload, which is less noticeable in the arena. For example, more than once I notice the strange behavior of projectiles when shooting with a turn - they fly out not even from the center of the sight, but with a lag somewhere on the side of the direction of movement. I am more and more convinced that the quality of the connection greatly affects the victory or loss. I think that with such a trend, it will soon become simply impossible to play without aimbot- (
  • @Inaktus For me performance is a factor as well, on BR i'm 100 fps at best while on arena it's stable 144 fps.
  • Because in arena there virtually 0 lag, and in BR mode you have people from brazil Russia Australia  with 500 ping shooting you and tons of cheaters and streamers/tryhards with 0 recoil exploits.

Because the ranked Arenas Mode ( & others) have a broken Matchmaking...

    me at Platin 3:

  • @InaktusArenas is mostly ‘’fair’’ loadouts where both sides have the same shield levels, heals, weapons, etc and there is only 3 people to worry about instead of 6-9+ like in BR

personally I feel like casual arenas should just be completely removed because both Arena modes have a penalty so whats the point in splitting the Arena playerbase when you could get better matchmaking if everyone was playing a ranked style

@wichurzak This. And my ping goes up from baseline 100 to 150 in BR, whre it sits flat around 100 to 110 in arena.
