Why change the battle pass

@EA_Mako Yeah, the level 96 bothers me sometimes, but at least the other ones are finished. Is the new battle pass going to work where if we finish both splits, the badge is animated or would we have two animated badges?

See, that's a nice looking collection there! We just need to have a few more badges to scroll down so you can't see the first one. Out of sight, out of mind? It'll be much longer for me haha.

We'll likely need to wait for the patch notes for the details, but there is a benefit to leveling past 60 on the new Battle Pass related specifically to upgrading badges.

Whether that will be the usual animated badge(s) or something else I'm not certain yet, but just referring to this portion:

You’ll now earn double the Battle Pass rewards across the entire season by completing both Battle Passes (more on that below), and you can continue your progress past Level 60 up to Level 100 to upgrade your Battle Pass badges.

    @EA_Mako That just sounds crazy to me. We get about 6 weeks to hit level 100. I know I got the time, but a lot of players don't. This change would mean 200 levels, which would be the same as Fortnite's, so I know its possible as players have finished those, but its a season long, not two splits.

    That would be a lot for sure, I'd agree. Now what exactly the badge upgrades entail, and whether or not it takes the same amount of time for each level is another matter.

    This is definitely something we'll be keeping a close eye on to say the least, and keep in mind we've adjusted things in the past when it was excessively slow to level a BP.

    @EA_Mako If the grind is slow and there's not much to earn between level 60 and 100, (like how it currently is for level 100 to level 110), making it level 70 its max for the split sounds a lot better than grinding 40 levels of mostly nothing, (assuming its 40 levels just for the badge).
