Why do I have to lead my target from 5 feet away?

Apex is literally the ONLY game I can't seem to hit jack all in. I think I've figured out why. Enemies running horizontal to you within 10 feet will not be hit by bullets if you aim directly at them...

I have no problems with this what so ever. Seems strange. I think you usually can aim straight on the enemy model within like 100 feet without having to lead one bit. Please upload some clips when this happens to you so we can have something concrete to talk about.
